School travels and transports

The Town of Kuusamo assists the person who has custody of a child or arranges transport, if the distance to school for a child attending pre-primary education or for a pupil attending classes 1–3 exceeds three kilometres or if the distance to school for a pupil attending classes 4–9 exceeds five kilometres. A pupil may also be required to make some part of the school travel by herself/himself related to trips more than five kilometres.
